Miami-Dade Youth Fair opens in Miami, Florida
Don’t adjust your schedule. Yes, it’s November. And yes, the Miami-Dade Youth Fair opens this week.
Normally, the annual event is a spring adventure, scheduled during spring break for Miami-Dade Public Schools. But the COVID-19 pandemic, which canceled the fair in 2020 just hours from its opening date, has pushed back the usual March opening until now.
This means you don’t have to wait long to experience jaw-dropping rides including the Zipper, Mega Drop, and Ring of Fire, plus plenty of kid-friendly rides.
You can also eat your weight in heart-stopping foods. We’ve got our eye on the pickle pizza, but you can also dive headfirst into the Flaming Hot Cheeto corn dogs, fried conch po’ boys, shrimp, and bacon mac and cheese. and the very popular funnel cake. Because eating fried dough is our right.
Entertainment options include live music, BMX stunt shows, and pig racing. There’s a harvest village and vacation village in addition to a petting zoo and exhibits showcasing the talents of Miami’s youth.
