Czechia: Real estate monitoring company Minut unveiled the results of its noise detector pilot program conducted in partnership with Airbnb in Prague.
The pilot program, announced in Septembershows how noise monitoring is a viable solution for responsible tourism in cities, according to the company, with Minut claiming to have resolved 100% of noise events detected during the pilot period.
Over the past six months, Minut has worked with a group of volunteer Airbnb hosts in Prague to equip their listings with a Minut sensor. Each participating host received the Minut sensor[s] and one year of free Pro subscription.
Hosts have used Minut to detect and resolve potential noise pollution, while respecting guest privacy.
With Minut Pro, hosts have access to Guest login – an automated communication function allowing customers to be notified when Minut detects noise. Some hosts have chosen to use Guest Connect, while others have preferred to communicate with guests directly through Airbnb.
Minut’s main takeaways were:
- While the majority of hosts don’t experience noise issues on a regular basis, Minut sensors offer hosts ‘better peace of mind’.
- For hosts who experienced noise, the sensors enabled “rapid response”, eliminating the noise in an average of 13 minutes.

Minute previously in partnership with Airbnb in December 2019 for a three-month test of its noise detection system in rental properties in Edinburgh, Scotland via the rental platform.
The three-month trial, which coincided with the start of Christmas and Hogmanay celebrations, was set up to reassure neighbors that visitors staying in short-term rental accommodation would not disturb them. not.
Earlier this month, Airbnb announced the deployment of its “Solo Traveler” in-app experience, a new product aimed at promoting a safe and secure experience for solo travelers.
