Missing girl, 2, found at Manchester Airport as 39-year-old man arrested for kidnapping

A man on suspicion of kidnapping has been arrested after a missing two-year-old girl was found at Manchester Airport.

The 39-year-old was wanted by officers after he boarded a flight with woman and child Gracie-May Rogers on August 25.

Police have now confirmed that two-year-old Gracie-May of Lancaster has returned to Manchester Airport with a woman on Sunday August 29.

She was found “safe and sound” and taken to a safe place.

A 35-year-old woman we wanted to talk to about Gracie-May’s disappearance was detained by police without incident.

Police said she was not under arrest and would be voluntarily questioned in due course.

The 39-year-old man was arrested at Glasgow Airport yesterday (Tuesday August 31) on suspicion of kidnapping and is in police custody.

In a statement, Lancashire Police said: “We would like to thank again everyone who shared our call and played a key role in our investigation to locate Gracie-May.”
