‘Multiple people’ injured in fight outside Cleckheaton pub as 40-year-old man charged
Fighting in the early hours of the morning outside a pub in Cleckheaton injured ‘several’ people.
West Yorkshire Police said emergency services were called just before 1am on Sunday to reports of a fight in progress in Albion Street. The incident reportedly happened near the Old House at Home pub.
Some of those present were treated for their injuries, police said. A man has been arrested.

In a statement today, West Yorkshire Police said: “At 12.56am on Sunday May 22, police were called to a report of a fight in progress outside a public house in Albion Street, Cleckheaton.
“Emergency services responded and several people were found injured, some of whom received medical treatment.
“A 40-year-old man was arrested and was later charged in connection with the incident for disturbing public order.
“Christopher Garthwaite, of Albion Street, Cleckheaton, has been charged with causing grievous bodily harm and possession of an offensive weapon.
“He has been remanded to appear at Leeds Magistrates’ Court today.
