My hen was ruined when thugs stole £50,000 from our Airbnb – but I tracked down the thieves using my AIRPODS
A BRIDE says her bachelorette party was ruined after burglars took £50,000 from her AirBnB villa in Spain.
The women, who wish to remain anonymous, documented the Costa del Sol incident on ICT Tac.
In the first episode, the women recorded the devastation left behind after realizing they had been robbed, including the contents of 13 suitcases strewn across the floor, beds and wardrobes of the villa.
The video, captioned “13 girls robbed Marbella by a Cuban gang and the police refused to help,” shows a hen circling the house saying, “It’s all gone.
Listing the items that had been stolen, the young woman explained that her designer clothes and trainers had been stolen, along with at least £50,000 of cash and belongings from the hens.
Another episode shows the young women speaking with local police after the burglary.
The next morning, after visiting the police station, the young women realized they could use the stolen AirPods to track their stolen items.
Users can locate their lost items AirPods using the Find My app on their phones, which will display the device’s last known location on a map.
Police reportedly told the young women to come to the scene and have a look, but that they should contact officers if things escalate with the alleged perpetrators.
According to the hens, the group of thieves included a squatter and a man who is part of a “Cuban gang”.
Video showed the moment the situation escalated when one of the men can be seen wielding a pair of bolt cutters.
The young women claimed they were physically assaulted after police left them alone at the scene.
The man they suspected of burglarizing their villa tried to flee after police spoke to him, the women said.
The young women, whose passports were stolen during the home invasion, said they had no updates from local police.
Their passports were mysteriously returned and placed under the group’s rental car, they claimed.
