People are paying to spend the night in jail at the popular Airbnb

Quiet, quaint and a bit strange. These are the words used to describe the town of Wykoff, Minnesota. Ed Krueger ran Jack Sprat’s grocery store for half a century. When he died at the age of 91, he bequeathed everything he owned to the city, exactly as it was. Not knowing what to do, the town leaders turned Ed’s life and store into a museum. A few blocks away is another iconic building that hasn’t changed much. The Wykoff Haus prison. It opened in 1913 and served its purpose for 50 years before closing. At the beginning of the 90s, it was transformed into a bed and breakfast. And then a few years ago it was put on Airbnb and has been a huge hit ever since. Watch the video above for the full story.
