The Healing Center’s new medical marijuana dispensary in Robinson will open on July 30

Medical cannabis company Healing Research Center is expanding into Robinson Township and will provide the Pittsburgh area with its first drive-thru medical cannabis dispensary. The dispensary in western Allegheny County is scheduled to open on Friday, July 30.

The new drive-thru dispensary, owned by Verano Holdings, will be located at 6300 Robinson Center Drive, near the Robinson Mall, and will feature four different drive-thru booths. Chris Kohan, co-founder of the Healing Center, says he’s excited to bring the first medical marijuana dispensary to western Pennsylvania.

The Robinson Township Healing Research Center is the second dispensary under that name in the state, the first being located in Chester County. The Healing Center, a partner of the Healing Research Center, announced earlier this year that it has purchased a 50% stake in Chester County-based Agronomed Biologics, which has enabled the expansion of four more sites in Pennsylvania. and a cultivation facility.

Ultimately, the six new dispensaries will contribute to medical marijuana research with the Drexel University Medical Cannabis Research Center as part of the Pennsylvania Chapter 20 Clinical Research Program, according to a press release.

The Healing Research Center has a partnership with The Healing Center and Agri-Kind, two other companies owned by Verano Holdings, and the Medical Cannabis Research Center at Drexel University. The Healing Center, a perennial Best of Pittsburgh reader survey winner, already has three locations in the Pittsburgh area – in Cranberry, Monroeville and Washington, Pennsylvania.
