Quirky Airbnb lets you spend a sleepover with a Shetland pony called Basil
GUESTS who stay at this quirky Nottingham Airbnb will have a very unusual neighbor.
The apartment, located on the grounds of a 17th-century mansion, allows visitors to spend a sleepover with a pony called Basil.
The four-person AirBnB – which costs £ 143 per night – is attached directly to Basil’s stable, allowing visitors to take care of the Shetland Pony.
Tenants will be surrounded by a picturesque 60-acre estate and will also be home to baby lambs, Hebridean sheep, horses, chickens and cats from the Norwegian forests.
The apartment is directly attached to Basil’s stable, where there is a door between the two spaces.
Host Brittany told Nottingham News it took a lockdown to “finally get the idea going.”
She said: “I think one of the best ways to improve the treatment of animals is to allow people to interact directly with them and educate people about their care.
“The space we had was perfect for people to do this.”
“On the property we have more than just horses – we also have a variety of rescued farm animals including cows, sheep, chickens, turkeys, two cats and a turtle.
“Everyone has loved the stay so far and it’s nice to see people so excited to spend time with the animals.”
You will also have access to an outdoor open fireplace with barbecue and tiki hut / outdoor seating area.
So far visitors have left rave reviews of the “wonderful experience”.
