We’re so immersed in a world where a significant percentage of movies and shows are reboots (or prequels or legacies) that there are even shows now about rebooting a show. However, that wouldn’t happen if there weren’t people excited about a revival of their favorite characters.
This is the case with Hocus Pocus. Maybe that means nothing to you, but the film has a surprisingly lasting legacy. Now it’s coming back, and you can screw up with the Sanderson sisters, sort of. Airbnb offers a stay in a recreation of the chalet from Hocus Pocus in Salem, Massachusetts.
A stay at the recreated Halloween haunt will cost just $31, and you have the option to book the unique stay starting Oct. 12 at 1 p.m. ET. It’s a few weeks later Hocus Pocus 2 premieres on Disney+, so you have time to get in the mood. Of course, there is a catch. The house is only available for a stay on October 20 for two people. This means there is going to be a lot of competition for that night. You are going to need supernatural levels of clicking prowess to win this race.
Your $31 (plus tax) buys you a night at the Sanderson sisters. But if you’re traveling further than the driving distance, well, the rest of your trip is up to you. The $31 only covers your stay through Airbnb. As part of the promotion, Airbnb is making a one-time donation to the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Salem to support the community. Practice your soul-stealing abilities, because you can get into the macabre spirit of the season with a favorite movie from your childhood.
