Royal fans get the chance to stay at the Queen’s Sandringham property in a unique Airbnb | royal | New

Formerly the home of Her Majesty’s Chief Gardener on the Estate, the property features furniture and artwork belonging to the Royal Family. Although prices vary, the “charming” holiday home can be rented for £354 per night for a minimum of three nights in February 2023, according to The Daily Mail.

It comes as the monarch has started to dabble in the tourist market, offering budget bookings from £15 a night at her Balmoral estate in Scotland.

In Sandringham, Airbnb described the Garden House rental as a “charming hideaway, owned by Her Majesty The Queen, nestled in the heart of her much-loved Sandringham Estate country retreat and the closest property to Sandringham House itself- same”.

It also offers “charming and relaxing accommodation” for eight people over two floors according to the listing.

“Eclecticly furnished from the royal collection, all furniture and paintings were once housed in a royal residence.”

The gardens are described as “a pure delight and provide a superb setting for this idyllic home” and guests can enjoy plenty of outdoor space.

The publication added: “As well as the formal walled garden with its wonderfully trimmed beds and borders in which the property sits, there is a more informal garden where you can relax and where children and dogs can run and play. safely.”

The listing caused quite a stir among Airbnb users, with one telling the Daily Mail: “I never thought I could find a place next to the royals.”

However, some royal staff joke that the property should be known as “Heirbnb”.

Balmoral’s website states: “The Colt Cottages are located close to the castle, near the Estates office and stables.

“Access is by public road to Balmoral and then by the private road of the estate.

“There are two cottages, which are adjoining. They can be occupied separately or, if required, they can be used together by a large family.”

The holiday homes are rated three star by the Scottish Tourist Board.
