Sakshi Malik joins Bajrang Punia; Catch India’s 8th Gold Medal

LIVE Commonwealth Games 2022, India to Birmingham, Day 8: India concluded Day 7 by winning gold and silver medals respectively thanks to Sudhir and Murali Shreeshankar. Sudhir won gold in para powerlifting and Murali won silver in men’s long jump. India also emerged victorious in men’s hockey by securing a place in the semi-finals. India’s men’s hockey team beat Wales 4-1 to advance to the semi-finals and boxers Amit Panghal, Sagar Ahlawat and Jasmine Lamboriya secured medals for the nation. At present, the medal tally of the Indian team now stands at 18. Day 8 of the Commonwealth Games 2022 will be a wrestling day for India as Indian wrestlers will fight for medals in all categories .
