Spend a snowy night in an Airbnb boxcar east of Twin Falls

I have seen charming rentals on Airbnb over the years, but there’s a property about 100 miles east of Twin Falls that’s the definition of romantic. What’s it like on a snowy night in a covered wagon with nearly 360 degrees of mountains?

Airbnb has become incredibly popular since the alternative lodging website went live in 2008. I personally have never stayed at one of these properties, but I know people who wouldn’t travel otherwise.

Southern Idaho is an incredibly beautiful region of the state during the fall and winter months in particular. There are an abundance of rivers, lakes, mountains, and other ideal settings for owning a small piece of land, a cabin, or a home in the south.

One of the most unique properties that I met online is a covered wagon rental in Bannock County which has been featured on several websites. Airbnb listed it as “Cozy Sheepherder Canvas Roof Wagon“, and the features several photographs which show the beauty not only of the converted wagon, but also of the natural surroundings that are less than a 90 minute drive from Twin Falls.

The surrounding scenery is enough for me to book a night, but the inside of the wagon is almost as impressive. There is a queen-size bed, a breakfast nook, storage shelves, wooden floors and walls and a path to a sitting area which offers spectacular views. The rental is listed as one bed, with a two person shower room, and is one of the most romantic listings you will find anywhere.
