Stay at a converted lifeboat station with stunning beach views

You can stay in a converted lifeboat station with stunning views of the beach when it opens through Airbnb.

Hoylake’s old train station, Wirral, was taken over by Jo Earlam who painstakingly renovated this piece of history along the coast.

It now has two bedrooms, a multi-functional office space, and a number of maritime and nautical objects and antiques that Jo had collected over the years.

“I spent time in the train station during the summer and it was amazing – it’s hard not to smile when you have such a stunning view, this is a truly spectacular property.”

The renovated station is now a luxury penthouse with an open plan living and kitchen, two bathrooms, a shower room and two double bedrooms – one of them isolated in the old turret room.

And of course the panoramic views of the Wirral coastline with floor-to-ceiling windows.

Downstairs there is also an office space which is used during the week and on weekends by the pop-up cafe.

It can accommodate up to six people, with a third sofa bed in the living room and Olly and Jo hope to attract weddings and people visiting Wirral for its world-class golf.

Olly said: “The office space is beautiful and really vibrant, it also has a gym, the whole building is really unique.
