The clear lawyer who allegedly raped a teenage girl on a silver weekend has also been charged with assaulting a second girl the night before.

Maurice Hawell, 28, was arrested earlier this month after a three-month investigation into alleged attacks on the warehouse-style unit in Newcastle West, NSW.

The Western Sydney solicitor is a former private Catholic schoolboy at the private Patrician Brethren College in Fairfield and works in a business in the Sydney CBD.

Police allege he and groom-to-be Andrew David, 28, sexually assaulted a 19-year-old girl around 11pm on February 26 after she was allegedly lured to Airbnb.

But Daily Mail Australia can now reveal Maurice Hawell is also facing a charge of sexually touching a second different girl between 10pm and midnight on February 25.

The gang rape allegedly took place at the converted $555-a-night three-bedroom industrial-style apartment on Parry Street, close to the city’s party zone.

The alleged attacks happened just days after Civil Engineer David’s 28th birthday on February 22.

A third man, 20-year-old Marius Hawell, was also believed to have been involved in the attack and was arrested in a dawn raid on his Edensor Park home on Wednesday.

David was simultaneously arrested at his parents’ lavish five-bedroom, $3million mansion, set in two acres of land on the semi-rural outskirts of Horsely Park.

Her June 18 wedding arrangements have now been “changed” due to issues between the guest list and possible witnesses, Fairfield Local Court heard on Wednesday.

The groom and his bride-to-be no longer have plans for a honeymoon, the court heard.

The two 28-year-old men were charged with two counts each of aggravated sexual assault on February 26 in the company of others.

Marius Hawell was charged with one count of aggravated sexual assault in February in the company of others, namely that of director in the second degree.

All three defendants were released on bail to return to court on July 4, with police investigations continuing.

Maurice Hawell was not available at his office on Thursday. Colleagues said he was on personal leave and was “taking some time off”.
