Open Gallery created by LOFTAS, an active cultural place in Lithuania, is an international outdoor street art project in the country’s capital. It’s so trendy that little Google is required.

The interdisciplinary and cultural initiative “Open Gallery” fulfills two goals: to present the city’s culture in an original way and to creatively renew the former abandoned industrial areas of Vilnius for a new life. Expect plenty of colorful street art and murals as the buildings serve as canvases.

The artwork ranges in style from psychedelic to hyper-realistic, spooky to awe-inspiring, creating a stimulating and immersive experience that appeals to millennials who love and appreciate art and other forms of visual storytelling.

2. Yard gallery in Kaunas

in 2022 Located in Kaunas, which has been awarded the European Capital of Culture, the Kiem Gallery is an open-air street art exhibition.

According to the founder and local artist Vytenis Jaks, one of its main goals is to “reflect on the local cultural heritage, which has become tangible through modern murals.” Visitors are treated to paintings on the walls that delve into deeper moral values, such as the icon-like piece “Many Rooms in My Father’s House,” which satirically depicts three gambling saints.

3. Hof in Klaipėda

Located in Klaipėda, the brand new cultural space “Hofas” – an inactive industrial complex with several bars and concert halls along the harbor – is the most fashionable place in the city.

The famous Klaipėda bar Herkus Kantas is located in a cultural space decorated with huge shipping containers – an essential part of Hof. The emerging district is incredible both day and night, making it one of the coolest places to visit in Lithuania.

Facing the city’s main Dane River, Tema art gallery home offers an exhibition area and residence for artists visiting the seaside, giving it a special artistic look. Part of the free space is also used for work, weekend yoga classes and all kinds of other cultural initiatives.
