The 8 Best Places to Swim in and Around Idaho
Between Idaho’s many lakes, rivers, hot springs and pools, there’s simply no shortage of places to cool off near the water.
There are a few popular watering holes a short drive from downtown Boise. Quinn’s Pond and Esther Simplot Park in Boise. Eagle Island State Park. Venture beyond Marsing and the pool at Jump Creek Falls is a breathtaking option.
Travel further and you’ll find Idaho waters that have won top national honors. Priest Lake isn’t just home to an amazing natural waterslide. Thrillist placed the small town in the top spot on its list of “20 Greatest Summer Lake Towns” in the United States.
Across the state, Bear Lake landed on Fodors Travel’s list of “Best Beaches in the U.S. That Are Nowhere Near the Ocean.” It ranked sixth on the list of 15 beaches.
