Jurassic World: Cretaceous Camp

Yes young people will never quite understand the thrill of watching Laura Dern and Sam O’Neil on screen with the movie soundtrack courtesy of John Williams, so might as well settle with Jurassic World: Cretaceous Camp, a Netflix original series that we hate to say…is actually pretty good. No one will have nightmares, but we recommend this one for kids five and up. Watch it here.

Kung Fu Panda: The Dragon Knight

If you were raised properly, you would know that Jack Black is absolute royalty in the grand scheme of children’s shows and movies. From the voice of the saber-toothed tiger Zeke in the first Ice Age movie to play in Gulliver’s Journey and the all-time GOAT movie, school of rock. Basically, next-gen entertainment is in good hands whenever it’s around. Black reprises his role as Po in this spin-off series, and you’ll find free time for more important things through the show’s 11 episodes. Watch it here.

Tale of the Thunder God Oni

While you will only find four episodes of Tale of the Thunder God Oni (we know, barely enough time for you to collect your proverbial shiz) it’s a great new Netflix show for kids. In a world filled with bizarre gods and monsters from Japanese mythology, one of the creature’s free-spirited daughters, Onari, is determined to follow in the footsteps of lore’s mighty heroes, but her unique powers don’t hold back. have not yet been revealed. Spirit Rangers

Inspired by the stories of Native American tribes and the majestic landscapes of America’s National Parks, Spirit Rangers explores the adventure and beauty of nature through the eyes of Kodi, Summer and Eddy Skycedar, Chumash/Cowlitz siblings who share a secret. The kids are a trio of kids are “Spirit Rangers” who help protect the land and spirits of the national park and who are we kidding? The plot doesn’t matter. All you need to know is Spirit Rangers has seriously changed the game for native representation in animation and the little ones will love it. Watch it here.

Blippi’s Adventure

If you think kids shows don’t have as much drama as say, TROB, think again. In its heyday, Blippi was a live YouTube channel, featuring Stevin John, for little ones up to age five. It skyrocketed to virality (and still slams today) thanks to its educational and interactive outings. Unsurprisingly, it was so massive it was made into a Netflix show however, the OG Blippi was apparently replaced by Clayton Grimm. Global outrage ensued. Either way, this is a prime-time morning show to keep the juniors’ energy levels down. There are also several Netflix spin-off shows, including Blippi’s Spooky Halloween, Blippi Wonders (Animated), Blippi’s school supply hunt and Blippi The MusicI. Watch it here.

Spirit Riding Free

Spoiler alert, the Dreamworks movie that brought you real hardcore tears as a kid has a number of shows on Netflix and whether you watch them or the kids watch them, everyone is happy. Yes, Spirit the Almighty Stallion has nailed eight seasons of western adventures, but if that’s not enough and you apparently have a bona fide series on your hands, you can also press play.
