The “Hocus Pocus” Sanderson Sisters Cottage is on Airbnb
Airbnb wants to make your Hocus Pocus Dreams come true! To celebrate the highly anticipated sequel Hocus Pocus 2which begins streaming on Disney+ on September 30, the company is offering a staycation in a recreation of the Sanderson sisters‘Cottage.
Hosted by the Sanderson Sisters themselves and located in Danvers, Massachusetts, the cottage is available for a one-night stay on October 20 for two people. The best part? It’s only $31, which is a nod to All Hallows’ Eve date. Any brave soul who wishes to enter the chalet can request to reserve it via the Airbnb Listing starting Oct. 12 at 1 p.m. ET.
“We all know that the Sanderson Sisters story might not have ended when we turned to dust, nor did our shenanigans,” Kathy Najimy, who plays Mary Sanderson in the films, said in a statement. Press release. “What better way to celebrate the season than welcoming guests to the trio’s historic haunt for a night they’ll remember for years to come?”
The cottage is sure to delight and potentially scare guests. It is filled with apothecary bottles, brooms, a smoking cauldron, cobwebs, and an excessive collection of candles, including the black flame candle. Of course, the Handbook of Witchcraft and Alchemy is properly displayed behind glass. The “wooden planks groan under the weight of curious cats,” according to the ad description. So don’t be surprised if you start to hear noises.
If there is an ideal framework for engaging in a Hocus Pocus double function, this chalet is. Be sure to set your alarms and even try your hand at a spell or two in an effort to secure that reservation. In the meantime, familiarize yourself with all ad details and give the original film another watch for good measure.
