The lavish London mansion that Ricky Gervais calls home – local house prices top £1million

As an award-winning comedian and actor, Ricky Gervais has plenty to celebrate with his latest release, After Life, a poignant Netflix hit show. Although best known for his on-screen work, the 61-year-old has also proven his talents as a director and writer. Like many famous Brits, Ricky Gervais spends most of his time in London, where he lives with his longtime partner, Jane Fallon.

The writer and lead actor of After Life lives a comfortable life in his North London home.

With eight bedrooms, luxury furnishings and a full-size badminton court outside, Gervais has no shortage of space to relax off-screen with best-selling author Jane.

The huge semi-detached mansion is valued at around £10.8million, well above the average regional property price.

While Gervais tends to share more photos of his cats around the property than of the house itself, Jane frequently posts snaps of the lavish interior.

Wooden floors, light walls, and deep mahogany furniture appear throughout the property.

Although there’s plenty of room inside, the house looks cozy and inviting – the perfect setting for the busy couple to spend their free time.

Outside, a large green garden with a DIY badminton court is visible with a border of trees and flowers for more privacy.

As well as his large London estate, Ricky has a nearby “little country retreat” in Buckinghamshire.

He bought the property in 2016, shortly after moving to the north of the British capital.

Located in the historic town of Marlow, the welcoming retreat is close to other homes of the rich and famous, including George and Amal Clooney, Russel Brand and radio DJ Chris Evans.

Far from the hustle and bustle of city life, the secluded property is used as a second home for Ricky and Jane to escape their high profile jobs.

Although the Office star is now able to reap the rewards of his successful career, he admitted that wasn’t always the case.

Gervais and his famous partner of 40, who is now a best-selling writer, have revealed they once struggled to get along early in their relationship.

In an interview with the Daily Mail, Jane said she was the sole earner, earning £40 a week from a theatrical agency. She added that they were too poor to afford the constant supply of 50p coins needed to keep the heating on and frozen every winter.

Now, with a combined net worth of around £13million, Ricky and Jane can afford a comfortable life for themselves and their cat, Pickle.
