The wait is almost over for the new Taco Bell at Lawton, Fort Sill. If you have been near the intersection of 38th Street and Lee Boulevard lately you’ve probably seen all the construction going on. It’s really starting to take shape now and will be open soon! We’ve been hearing rumors about the new Taco Bell location.
No official word yet as to when the grand opening will take place, but on the face of it, it won’t be long. We might see it open in the fall or winter of this year, maybe even earlier.*fingers crossed it’s sooner*
Being right across from the Walmart Neighborhood Market and so close to Cameron University, Great Plains Technology Center and Eisenhower High School, the new Taco Bell is sure to draw TONS of business! This part of town doesn’t have many places to eat, so it’s going to be a very popular spot!

Having more options and places to eat in Lawton, Fort Sill is a good thing, not to mention all the job opportunities it will bring to the community. It’s a win-win for sure! Taco Bell will be the first new business to be built on the empty lot at the corner of 38th Street and Lee Blvd. As big as it is, I’m sure more companies will start filling it out over time. They certainly have the space for it and it’s unclear what other businesses plan to build there once Taco Bell opens.
It’s like anything else, someone has to go first, then everyone else follows. It’s exciting to see the land being developed and the possibility of more businesses moving and opening up in Lawton, Fort Sill.
