The “World’s Best Awards 2021” ranks Bangkok and Chiang Mai among the 10 best destinations in the world

Bangkok and Chiang Mai were both in the top 10 in the Best Cities in the World category, with Chiang Mai in 9th place with a rating of 90.06 and Bangkok in 10th with a rating of 89.81.

Bangkok, Thailand – The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) reported that Thailand has performed well in the “Best prices in the world 2021” Travel + Leisure survey, with destinations and hotels voted among the best in the world.

Bangkok and Chiang Mai were both in the top 10 in the Best Cities in the World category, with Chiang Mai in 9th place with a rating of 90.06 and Bangkok in 10th with a rating of 89.81.

Ko Samui got 2nd place in the Top 5 Islands in the Asia category with a score of 90.34, and also ranked 7th in the Top 25 Islands in the World category.

Four Bangkok hotels made their debut in the category of the world’s top 100 hotels, Capella Bangkok, located on the east bank of the Chao Phraya River, occupying the 4th place on the list with a score of 99.38.

Mandarin Oriental, Bangkok came in 41st place with a score of 97.87, tied with Katikies Mykonos in Mykonos in Greece, The Lanesborough in London and The Roundtree, Amagansett in New York. Four Seasons Hotel Bangkok in Chao Phraya River got 55th place with a score of 97.59, and Sukhothai Bangkok was named 73rd with a score of 97.25.

The Mandarin Oriental, Bangkok also received a Hall of Fame designation, indicating that it had been voted into the World’s 100 Best Hotels list for the past 10 consecutive years.

The World’s Best Awards are based on an annual reader survey, and for the 2021 edition, the vote was taken from January 11 to May 10, 2021. There are categories for Airlines, Airports, Car Rental , cities, cruise ships, destination spas, hotels, hotel brands, islands, tour operators and safari providers, and national parks in the United States.
