Three stories that highlight the determination of Nick Robertson of the Maple Leafs

The jury is still out on just how good a good NHL hockey player Nice Robertson will be of the Toronto Maple Leafs. But one thing that will never disappoint Maple Leafs fans is how willing this kid is to work and how much he wants to be a part of the Maple Leafs roster. It’s off the charts!

In this article, I’m going to share three stories that give us all a glimpse into the player Robertson is likely to become. These are stories about how – from a baby, to a young boy having fun, to a young man willing to sacrifice himself to be a part of the team – Robertson wants to play hockey for the Maple Leafs.

Certainly, Maple Leafs fans are waiting to see how the organization uses it this season. However, the information I want to share suggests – at least for me – what kind of player they have in this highly motivated youngster.

Story One: Robertson was determined to find Red Wings coach Mike Babcock

One of my favorite stories about Robertson dates back to a time when he was a youngster living in Detroit. Obviously, a Detroit Red Wings fan – Pavel Datsyuk was his favorite player – has learned that Red Wings head coach Mike Babcock lives in nearby Northville, Mich. So Robertson decided that on Halloween he would make a treat at Babcock’s house.
