Two-bed Airbnb in Glasgow’s West End is listed at £6,300 a night for a family of four in August

Holidaymakers are being asked to shell out nearly £52,000 a week for an Airbnb that sleeps four in central Glasgow.

The single rental in the city’s West End costs £6,300 a night for a couple and two children in August.

For a family of four staying at the property for a week, it would cost 163 times more than a week at a hotel in the Maldives.

The property’s host, known only as John, offers guests a personal tour of the “architectural gem”, part of a former church college.

A family of four looking to stay there between August 7 and 14 will end up paying £51,618 once the Airbnb service charge and £40 cleaning fee is factored in.
