UK Holidays: Kent crowned seaside destination among top 10 | Travel News | Travel

Trending hotspots for summer stays in the UK have been revealed. Families, friends and solo travelers are staying in the UK this year, with a large majority of Britons booking travel nearby. And the results are here: Airbnb has released its list of trendy beach vacations, and Sandgate in Kent is where everyone seems to be heading.

With cross-Channel views, expensive homes and a High Street of independent shops, Sandgate draws a lot of tourists this summer.

In Lincolnshire, the British move towards Ingoldmells and Sandilands.

Sandilands has miles of sandy beach and the promenade with its colorful beach huts is ideal for a relaxing vacation. Sandilands will become a new National Trust nature reserve, the Trust’s first coastal land in the Midlands.

Seaburn Beach in County Durham attracts visitors who want to make the most of summer.

The coastal town of Portishead, on the Severn Estuary in Somerset, is not a seaside destination. But it does have a marina, a heated outdoor swimming pool, and National Trust properties.
