Warsaw-based on-demand tech rental platform Plenti scores big with $1.5m fundraising

Sometimes you just want to close the curtains and have a movie night, projector included. Or a weekend full of excess PS5 gaming. But that doesn’t mean you have to spend a lot of money on expensive technology.

To this end, the Warsaw-based on-demand technology rental platform A lot raised $1.5 million in a funding round led by RST Ventures for the Earth. The founders of Poland’s largest e-commerce platform, allegroArjan Bakker and Grzegorz Brochocki also joined as angel investors.

“Our fund is committed to investing in sustainable technologies. Plenti’s business model helps reduce e-waste and eliminates this problem for users, as they can simply subscribe and share their devices with others,” comments the Managing Partner of RST Ventures for Earth. Tomasz Popow.

Founded in late 2018, Plenti offers consumers new and near-new gear, including drones, PlayStation 5 consoles, VR headsets, projectors, and robotic vacuum cleaners, to name a few, all without a total purchase. nor long-term rental.

Plenti offers 2 hour delivery (or less) in Warsaw and next day delivery in the rest of the country. The new funding round is expected to offer more express delivery services in other Polish cities.

“We believe in access rather than ownership. Plenti users can use their favorite gadgets whenever they want, without all the costs, liabilities and other hassles of owning electronic devices,” adds Wojciech Rokosz, CEO and co-founder of Plenti. “The ever-increasing number of our users and their overall satisfaction indicate that our business model is working.”
