With thousands of Britons listing their homes on Airbnb or investing in property with the intention of starting an Airbnb business, a study by Crafted Beds has revealed the best locations and interior styles to make maximum profit.
Surveying Airbnbs across the UK, Newcastle came out on top as the place charging the most per night for an Airbnb stay, at an average of £122 per night.
The top 5 also included Leeds (£121.60), York (£120), Exeter (£118.60) and Cambridge (£105.60).
The least profitable city to start an Airbnb business in is Edinburgh, charging an average of £64.40 per night, followed by Aberdeen (£66.20) and Birmingham (£76.20).
Looking at interior design styles on Airbnbs in the UK, the study also found that ‘Cottagecore’ is the most profitable style, charging an average of £104.95 per night. Coastal, Art Deco and Vintage follow this, all earning over £96 per night.
The lowest earning interior style is Country, earning an average of just £82 per night, followed by Industrial at £83.75 per night.
