WE’ve rounded up the best destinations for Britons looking to chase the sun this winter.
All destinations – short and long haul – have an average temperature of 20°C and above.
There are still great deals, from £299 for week-long stays – which equates to just over £42 per person per night.
Here are the best sunny winter destinations to visit:
Cyprus
Cyprus is one of the southernmost islands in the Mediterranean, so it’s a safe bet for winter sun.
In December, temperatures average 21°C, with seven long hours of sunshine.
Things cool down a bit in January, but it’s still nice enough to enjoy the beach and al fresco dining with temperatures averaging 18°C.
The most popular resort is Paphos, which is only about a four hour flight from the UK.

the Canary Islands
If you are looking for a quality break and a bit of sun, the the Canary Islands is our first choice, especially for a family holiday.
Tenerife, Lanzarote and Gran Canaria are all great options – and even in winter you can expect long sunny days and temperatures of 21°C.

The Caribbean is a great place for those who love water sports and snorkeling, as well as long stretches of white sand beaches.
The dry season runs from late November to April, and the average temperature is just over 30°C, and it won’t be too wet either.

Morocco
January and December are excellent months to visit Morocco because the temperatures are much more pleasant than in summer when the heat can be too strong.

Expect average temperatures of 19-21°C, ideal for exploring the souks and picturesque streets.

If there’s one vacation destination where you can live like royalty for about a week, it’s dubai – a city with glitz and glamor at every turn.
What was once a relatively small place in the desert is now a metropolis of skyscrapers and swanky bars that attract celebrities and stars to Love Island.
The city has something for everyone, including average temperatures between 24 and 26C in winter.
