Why the Pirata bar in Charminster was recorded by the police

POLICE have issued an update after a bar in Bournemouth was taped for several hours on Sunday.

The Pirata bar in Charminster was cordoned off on Sunday afternoon with officers present.

Giving details, police said a woman was found injured in Charminster Road at 1.20am.

The woman was taken to hospital for treatment of a head injury which police say was sustained in an ‘incident’ at a Charminster Road address.

Police said a man was arrested in connection with the incident, but no offense was identified and he was released without charge.

A Dorset Police spokesman said: “Following inquests, it has been determined that the injury was sustained in an incident at an address in Charminster Road.

“A man in his 40s has been arrested in connection with the incident, however, after further inquiries and contact with the injured woman, no offense has been identified and he has been released without charge. ”
