Woman who goes missing after leaving vacation rental found safe and sound

OSCEOLA COUNTY, FLUPDATE: MPs said Thursday afternoon that Latifya Hewitt was found unharmed in South Carolina.

The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office on Tuesday issued a missing person alert for Latiyfa Hewitt, 30.

According to the alert, Hewitt was last seen at around 8 p.m. on Sunday while in a house in the Cabots Cliffs neighborhood of Kissimmee. MPs learned that Hewitt left home in a black 2020 Jeep Cherokee with South Carolina tags.

According to Hewitt’s family, she and her family were from North Carolina and were staying at an Airbnb. Hewitt left their vacation rental around 8 p.m. to go to a store near the Publix in Champions Gate Village and she has not been seen since.

Hewitt’s family say they were told she had never made it to the store.

Hewitt was last seen wearing a pink t-shirt with the words “Unicorn Squad”, black tights, white Nike Air Force Ones and earrings with the word “boujie” on it.
