Yalitza Aparicio Joins Airbnb as ‘Magical Host’ to Help Revive Tourism in Mexico

Oscar-nominated actress Yalitza Aparicio (Roma) has teamed up with Airbnb to help revive tourism in Mexico, and she needs your help.

As part of its partnership with Pueblos Mágicos, Airbnb invites residents of 132 different Mexican cities (“magic towns”) to become a “magic host” and help visitors celebrate Mexican culture and history that only their pueblitos can offer.

As a ‘magical host’ looking for others to join the initiative, Aparicio, 27, born in Oaxaca, Mexico, gives other potential Airbnb hosts advice on what they can do. do to make their city attractive to travelers. Some of these tips include:

  • Talk to guests about the history, culture and legends of your city
  • Know your own city so you can recommend places to visit and things to do
