You can organize a “Love Island” evening in this Airbnb worthy of Insta
Airbnb lists the original house of the movie for just $ 5 a night, and you can book it for yourself if you have an address in the United States and a little luck.
The movie’s original home is located in Northern California, and Airbnb recently bought it and updated it to look exactly like the one in the 1996 Wes Craven movie.
Well, it’s almost exactly the same. Airbnb made some adjustments, including adding a stained glass window with the murderous Ghostface sticking out from the second floor.
Airbnb has a landline in the house that connects directly to the masked killer, so you can expect to hear from them all night long whether you like it or not.
There are also a few Ghostface masks peeking out from the windows here and there throughout the house, just in case you thought you could get a good night’s sleep during your stay.
Airbnb also hired Sheriff Dewey himself, David Arquette, to virtually greet visitors when they check in.
“As the host, I will keep a watchful eye on the guests to make sure no one is surprised by an unexpected plot twist,” he said in the greeting. “Believe me, horror movies always keep him interesting, for better or for worse.”
The place is set up for a movie marathon in the living room, where you can watch the four Scream movies on an old square TV with a VHS player.
Sure, movies can look better on your 21st century phone, but if you’re nostalgic to rewind a VHS, go for it!
Reservation requests open October 12 at 1 p.m. EST (10 a.m. PST) for the low price of $ 5 per night, and the travel plans are yours. Only three nights are available, so there’s no guarantee, but it’s worth it, right?
