You can rent Scottie Pippen’s mansion during the Olympics: go inside
Meet American Olympic surfers competing at the Tokyo 2020 Games
Do you want to live like a literal ball player for a day? Well you are in luck.
Retired NBA Star Scottie Pippen temporarily opens the doors of his vacation home near Chicago to Airbnb guests during the basketball quarterfinals, semi-finals and finals of the Tokyo Olympics in August.
Scottie, who helped the U.S. basketball team win gold medals at the 1992 Olympics in Barcelona, Spain and the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta, Georgia, offers his 9,500-foot mansion in the suburban town of Highland Park, Illinois. Two of the six bedrooms and one of the 5.5 bathrooms are available to tenants, in addition to the rest of the house, which contains an infinity pool with slide, a sauna, a gym, a home cinema and an indoor basketball court featuring Pippen’s jersey.
Three one-night bookings for up to four people are available for $ 92 each, a nod to Scottie’s first year competing at the Olympics on August 2, 4 and 6. Upon check-in, they will receive a virtual greeting from Scottie. They will also be able to view memorabilia from the Olympic Games, including items from Team USA’s 2020 medal rack collection, which they can take home.
