Netflix released the trailer for “Me Time” on Tuesday, an upcoming film starring Kevin Hart and Mark Wahlberg as two opposite old college friends who reunite for a “wild” weekend that nearly turns their lives upside down. life.
The comedy tell the story of Sonny, a stay-at-home dad and husband to Maya, an architect played by Regina Hall. Sonny’s old college friend, Huck, invites him to his birthday party among a horde of young revelers. Sonny’s wife encourages him to go and an adventurous weekend filled with wild antics ensues.
The film will premiere on the streaming platform on August 26. Hart shared a first look at the movie on his Instagram at the end of April. The comedian posted a screenshot of himself and Wahlberg carrying a turtle down a busy street, with the caption “so much laughter.”
The comedy is the latest project released under Hart’s 8 figure deal with Netflix. The contract was announced in January 2021 after the premiere of Hart’s comedy special, “No F**ks Given.” The comedian has agreed to produce and star in four films through his own media company, HartBeat Productions.
Since then, Hart has starred in several major projects for the platform. The “True Story” limited series features Hart in his first dramatic role alongside Wesley Snipes. The show came out just before Thanksgiving.
“Fatherhood,” a comedy-drama released in June 2021, stars Hart as a widower having second thoughts about raising his only daughter on his own. Originally intended for Sony Pictures, the company licensed the rights to Netflix.

Outside of film and comedy, Hart recently announced that he plans to open a plant-based fast food restaurant called Hart House in Los Angeles.
The restaurant hired former Burger King culinary chef Michael Salem to develop the menu. The comedian has switched to a largely plant-based diet in recent years, but does not consider himself a vegan.
It’s still unclear if the fast food restaurant will expand beyond California, but it should open before the end of the summer.
