Airbnb is looking for new hosts in Bournemouth

Airbnb PROPERTY RENTAL is offering Bournemouth residents a £100 travel voucher to start hosting ahead of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations and a big summer of travel.

Bournemouth is one of 12 locations across the UK where residents are offered the incentive to host their first Airbnb guest between May 30 and June 4.

Other areas include Southampton, Brighton, Bristol and Cambridge.

Amanda Cupples, Managing Director for Northern Europe at Airbnb, said: “Airbnb offers a unique opportunity for communities to benefit from the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee as celebrations unfold across the UK and families visit relatives on additional holidays.

“Home sharing helps cities use existing space to increase capacity and accommodate visitors during peak demand and enables residents to provide sustainable and affordable housing, benefiting the local economy.”

New hosts can list a room or an entire home on Airbnb, and the company said half of all new listings listed globally last year received a reservation within five days of activation.

British hosts on Airbnb collectively earned more than £1.5billion last year – including £668million in the summer months – according to data released by Airbnb, with the typical host earning a little over £6,000 a year.

Hosts must register by going to airbnb.com/QueensJubilee and listing their listing. Conditions apply*.
