Airbnb shares top destinations for UK travelers working remotely

Some of us are lucky enough to still be work abroad.

With that comes freedom – your office could be anywhere in the world.

As much The British in this position take advantage of the opportunity to live abroad and travel, Airbnb researched the best places to explore while working.

The nomadic lifestyle is on the rise, as Google search data indicates that “moving abroad” as a search term increased by 1,000% in April.

About one in five guests on Airbnb used the site to work remotely while traveling in 2021 — and the trend is also on the rise this year.

In the UK, there has also been a third of the growth in long-term Airbnb stays, suggesting that more and more people are accepting to work from anywhere.

Data from Indeed also showed that more people are seeking remote jobs, with one of the main benefits being on-site flexibility.

Pawel Adrjan, Head of EMEA Research at Indeed, said: ‘Remote working and expectations for greater flexibility were on the rise before the pandemic, but nearly two years of lockdown living and working from home have transformed work remotely into a common and viable option for the entire workforce in certain sectors of the economy.

“Far from seeing the trend reversing with the easing of lockdown restrictions, our research shows that searches for remote work have remained high throughout the year and have just reached an all-time high, suggesting that many job seekers want to continue working remotely.
