Airbnb plans to block some one-night reservations for Memorial Day and July 4 weekends for listing homes in Los Angeles and across the country. The company says the blocking will have a particular impact on customers without a history of positive reviews.
Guests who book an Airbnb these weekends will need to confirm that they understand the company can take legal action against them for breaking the rules.
Airbnb has implemented similar limits on July 4 in 2021, and Halloween and New Year’s Eve in 2020 to limit house parties, and this year will be the first time the company has extended those limits to weekends. Memorial Day.
Regular Airbnb customers with a history of positive reviews will not be subject to these restrictions, the company said.
