To celebrate the Thai New Year and welcome international travelers back to the Kingdom, the splendid Governor’s Mansion in Phuket – the greatest icon of Sino-Portuguese Baroque architecture – will be listed for the first time on Airbnb for the stay of ultimate creator.

A single group of four lucky guests will have the chance to soak up the lively festivities with an unforgettable island getaway, April 15-17. The luxurious two-night stay will pay homage to the country’s rich architectural heritage and design sensibility, including never-before-seen pieces from famous Bangkok-based furniture designers and classic Phuket antiques.

Built at the end of the era of King Rama V by prosperous local businessman Pra Pitak Chinpracha, the iconic 119-year-old mansion, located in the historic heart of Phuket Old Town, has hosted many dignitaries from out of town and remains one of many neoclassical heritage mansions on Phuket today.

The sprawling white and mustard heritage house has been superbly restored to preserve its original fixtures, including richly patterned tiles and teak floors. Its first floor now houses the Blue Elephant restaurant, a Michelin Plate award winner and a longtime mainstay of Thailand’s culinary industry.

On the 2nd floor, renowned Thai designer Saran Yen Panya has created a memorable and visually stunning space that pays homage to Thailand’s rich heritage and vibrant contemporary design scene.

Guests will be welcomed by popular Phuket-born model actress Patricia Tanchanok Good, who will share her favorite hidden gems and tips for exploring the island, and chef Nooror Somany Steppe, National Ambassador of Royal Thai Cuisine and Founder by Blue Elephant.

The two night stay will be available for booking for $50 (1,700 baht) tomorrow at 8am.
