“C/O Berlin Open House – hosted by Airbnb”: a journey into the world of inspiring photography

That’s what it’s all about: creating an opportunity and a place to rediscover Berlin’s multifaceted local cultural scene. As the capital of Germany, Berlin offers all sorts of artistic and cultural offerings which have suffered from a lack of visitors in recent months due to the pandemic. The first one “C/O Berlin Open House – hosted by Airbnb” in Charlottenburg opens its doors on 2n/a December from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and invites you to discover the current exhibitions of photographers Lee Friedlander and Peter Miller with free entry. You don’t need to register, just drop by and get inspired by the works.

While Friedlander Retrospective is dedicated to the work of the United States over six decades, Miller’s Dear photography shows the central works of the last 15 years of his creative work – he experiments with analog photographic techniques with playful ease and invites us to rediscover photography through his works. An exclusive lecture by American photographer Joel Meyerowitz on his photographs will take place digitally in the cinema room of the private exhibition center. Meyerowitz’s impressive work shows the “unexpected, often extraordinary and inspiring moments” of everyday life while traveling, according to the photographer. Free 30-minute guided tours of both exhibitions will be offered every hour from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Please note: Compliance with the 2G rule applies when visiting exhibitions as well as during the conference, including the compulsory wearing of a mask (medical mask or FFP2). The exhibition halls and the cinema hall are accessible to a limited number of people at the same time. There may be waiting times. On-site registration will be done via the Luca or Corona-Warn app. The number of participants in guided tours is limited. More information on the meeting point for the guided tours here.
