Carson County traffic stop results in three arrests, drug seizure

A traffic stop in Carson County resulted in three arrests as well as the confiscation of more than four pounds of methamphetamine and 13 pounds of marijuana.

On Monday, March 14, a 2022 Acura TLX was pulled over by a Texas DPS trooper at approximately 8:50 a.m. for a traffic violation. Authorities say the vehicle was traveling east along Interstate 40 near Conway.

During the arrest, several bags containing methamphetamine and marijuana were found in the trunk of the suspect’s vehicle.

The driver and two passengers were taken into custody. The suspects have been identified as Damian Bell, 24, of Cedar Hill, Texas, Denna Allmaras, 24, of Leeds, North Dakota, and Demarcus Sumlin, 22, of Memphis, Tennessee.

All three were charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana, then incarcerated in Carson County Jail.

Authorities believe the drugs were trafficked from Los Angeles, California to Memphis, Tennessee.
