Complaint against men at Airbnb without permission leads to drug and gun charges

LAKEWOOD, NY (WIVB) — After an Airbnb owner complained about people staying there without permission, Lakewood-Busti police say they found guns and drugs after responding to the scene.

Police said when they arrived at the scene, they saw a vehicle leaving the Lakewood address. They didn’t list a specific street.

After stopping the vehicle, they say they searched it and found the following items in the possession of a 16-year-old from Jamestown:

  • pistol loaded and stolen
  • 59 grams of methamphetamine
  • seven grams of cocaine

After obtaining a search warrant for Airbnb, two men and a teenage boy were illegally found inside, police said. They were identified by police as Jayquan Minns from Buffalo, Oshon Goodlow from Jamestown and a 16-year-old from Rochester.

Inside the Airbnb, police said they found 26 grams of methamphetamine, five grams of cocaine and a loaded gun with the serial numbers removed.

According to the police, each person faces charges of possession of weapons and drugs. Further charges are pending.
