Disney World guests find door to accommodation unlocked, signs of forced entry

Walt Disney World Resort Hotels can be expensive. From Disney Vacation Club (DVC) luxury villas to magic-themed Value Resorts, guests are paying top dollar for on-site experience.

Some customers choose to stay in off-site hotels or rent holiday homes that can accommodate larger families through services like Vrbo and Airbnb. these cheaper options make a Disney Parks vacation more accessible to everyone visiting Orlando, Florida!

While we all want to be sure that our homes are safe for us and our belongings, this is not always the case. Airbnbs and other vacation rentals are operated by individual owners and rented through Airbnb, so amenities vary greatly between each property.

Recent visitors to Walt Disney World Resort learned the hard way when they returned from a long day at Central Florida’s Disney Park to find their Airbnb’s front door wide open with the lights on. @imnottvale shared a video of the incident on ICT Tac:

The guests wisely chose not to enter the Airbnb and instead called the police, who searched the area. Eventually they realized no one was inside.

Turns out the Airbnb owner decided to check into the property out of the blue while the guests were away. “Thank you to the airbnb company for not letting us know they were passing and for not locking our door after they came to check out the property while we were out all day,” one wrote. guests. “Thank you for the anxiety and the panic attack.”
