Edinburgh hotel listed as one of world’s most exciting new openings by Conde Nast

The highly anticipated opening of a new hotel in Edinburgh has been heralded as one of the ‘most exciting’ in the world.

Luxury travel magazine Conde Nast Traveler recently compiled a list of the most exciting new hotel openings this year, featuring premium accommodation from around the world in cities including London, New York, Ibiza and the Amalfi Coast.

And our beautiful city also made the list, thanks to the upcoming arrival of Gleneagles Townhouse.

Set to welcome its first guests this spring, the brand new 33-room hotel in St Andrew’s Square – which will include a private club with exclusive “wellness experiences” – will also have a rooftop terrace bar, ” Lamplighters”, with a view of the emblematic skyline of the capital.

Plus, an opulent all-day dining restaurant, The Spence, will be helmed by award-winning chef Johnny Wright.

The new Town Hall marks Gleneagles’ first-ever expansion outside of its Perthshire home in its 96-year history.

Last year, Edinburgh Live reported that each of the hotel’s rooms will be totally unique in its own way, individual in size, orientation and ceiling height – with star suites overlooking St. Andrew Square during a preview at inside the extravagant accommodation.

And, alongside Thompson Central Park and New York City and The Other House in South Kensington, Gleneagles Townhouse made Conde Nast Traveller’s latest list, which describes Edinburgh’s exciting new arrival as ‘an urban option for hardcore Gleneagles fans. .
