Emirates of Dubai expect huge increase in inbound traffic from November 19

Dubai carrier Emirates is reporting a busy travel period for inbound and outbound travel via Dubai for the next month.

From November 19, Dubai will experience an increase in inbound traffic, including visitors for winter events such as those attending the 2022 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, travelers heading to Doha for football matches and those arriving for the Emirates Dubai 7s which are taking place to welcome 5,500 athletes from 32 countries, the carrier said in a statement.

During the UAE National Day holiday, a high level of outbound travel is also expected. From December 16, Emirates expects the seasonal outbound peak for the festive period.

The carrier recommends passengers arrive at the airport three hours before their flight and take advantage of digital check-in, home and remote check-in options, smart gates and ihandy bag drop services.

Passengers are encouraged to download the app through which they can book and change flights, download a digital boarding pass for most destinations, among other options.

All passengers can check in online 48 hours before their flight using the online check-in option on the carrier’s website. Those departing from Ajman can also take advantage of 24-hour city check-in at Ajman Central Bus Station. Passengers can check in up to four hours before flight departure, present medical documents, check baggage and collect boarding passes, purchase a bus ticket for Dhs20 and proceed to Emirates Terminal 3 , with regular bus departures.

Passengers departing from Dubai can also check in early and drop off their bags at the airport 24 hours before departure, or 12 hours before departure if traveling to the United States or Tel Aviv. Emirates also offers a home check-in service in Dubai and Sharjah, provided by DUBZ.

Alternatively, using self-check-in kiosks, travelers can complete the check-in process or use the kiosk contactless using a mobile phone. Passengers can also register to use the Emirates Terminal 3 smart gates and expedite immigration.
