Here’s how much it currently costs to rent a two-bedroom apartment in Ontario

Ontario has become one of the most expensive provinces to live in. RBC Economics report shares that housing affordability is “overstretched” in Ontario, but what about the rent? Several factors will affect your monthly dues, especially the city in which you live.

Online Rental Portal, Rentals.ca shared its latest rent report for January 2023 and we focused on the average cost of a one-bedroom unit in 11 different cities across Ontario.

According to the site, the most expensive city in Ontario right now for a one-bedroom unit is Etobicoke. His average rent is $2,828. Toronto is not far behind with an average monthly rent of $2,476. Mississauga ranks third with $2,193.

These numbers exceed the average posted rent across Ontario, which is $2,139 for a one-bedroom apartment. According to the report, the province has seen an increase of about 15% in just one year for bachelor and one-bedroom units.
