Amazon’s head of global affairs, Jay Carney, the former White House press secretary under President Obama, shared his own news this week, announcing he was leaving Amazon after more than seven years.

From September, Carney will become Airbnb’s global head of policy and communicationsreporting to Brian Chesky, CEO of the short-term travel and accommodation market.
