Liverpool manager completes move to Bournemouth

TIM Jenkins has joined Cherries, leaving his Liverpool academy role, Gary O’Neil has confirmed.

The pair worked together at the Reds, before O’Neil joined Cherries in February 2021.

And Jenkins has now been added to Cherries’ first-team coaching staff, following O’Neil’s appointment as permanent head coach.

“Tim Jenkins has joined Liverpool,” O’Neil confirmed.

“He’s a great addition for us. He’s a smart guy. I worked with him while I was there.

“He has a real in-depth knowledge of the game. I hope he doesn’t mind me saying it, but he had the opportunity to leave the Liverpool academy on a number of occasions and decided that was the one for him. he needed.

“He was there a long time, 10 years I think he was there, he did a really good job with some of the best players.

“He’s going to be a fantastic addition for us. The composition of the rest will be confirmed shortly, hopefully.

Cherry legends Tommy Elphick and Shaun Cooper were working as O’Neil’s assistant head coaches before the World Cup break, stepping down from their roles with the development team.

Jenkins, also formerly of Manchester City, served as Liverpool Under-18 assistant manager before moving to O’Neil.
