The initial wave of panic bookings is fading after hotels in the area hiked rates. The team behind Eurovision 2023 in Liverpool are expected to make public their plans for additional accommodation in the coming weeks. Visitors are advised not to purchase hotel rooms at high prices.

Accommodation near Liverpool for Eurovision 2023
All of the locations listed below are within 50 minutes by train of Liverpool.
The Liverpool City area is served by the merseyrail network. Liverpool Central Station and James Street Station are both a 15 minute walk or 5 minute bus ride from the M&S Bank Arena.
National connections are available from Liverpool Lime Street Station. Liverpool Lime Street is a 20-minute walk or 10-minute bus ride from the Eurovision 2023 host venue.
Crosby
Nature lovers looking for accommodation for Eurovision 2023 in Liverpool should look no further than Crosby. This small town is home to the Rimrose Valley Country Park – a huge green space with plenty of hiking trails for hiking enthusiasts.
Elsewhere, Crosby Beach is home to Anthony Gormley’s Another Place art installation, with more than 100 statues – known locally as Iron Men – lining the beach, looking out to the Irish Sea. It’s a must-see for anyone making the Merseyside pilgrimage, and it’s a very Instagrammable moment.

Southport
Southport is a seaside town just 16 miles north of Liverpool. Beachside camping at its best, the streets of Southport are packed with fish and chip restaurants, slot machines and ice cream parlours. The peaceful seaside retreat is also big on golf, hosting ten times the British Open championship at the famous Royal Birkdale Golf Club.
Southport is also home to a number of retired professional football players. Stick around long enough and you might bump into Kenny Dalglish, Mark Lawrenson or Alan Hansen in one of the local bars.
Near Southport you will find the villages of Birkdale and Hillside. Both villages offer bed and breakfast accommodation options, often aimed at visitors during the golf season.
Further along the railway line you will find the quiet seaside town of Formby. Formby is a great location for families and is a popular natural location with many walking and discovery trails.

Ormskirk
A historic market town in neighboring Lancashire. Ormskirk is nestled amongst the rolling hills of the northern countryside, perfect for visitors looking for accommodation away from the hustle and bustle of the big city.
Stroll along the scenic Leeds-Liverpool Canal or try the local gingerbread.
Thanks to nearby Edge Hill University, Ormskirk also has a strong student nightlife scene. As such, bar and restaurant prices are generally cheaper than those you’ll find in Liverpool city centre.

Port Sun
Port Sun is a picturesque village in the heart of the Wirral Peninsula, just 17 minutes from Liverpool city centre. A Victorian village with faux Tudor architecture, Port Sunlight is perfectly preserved in the rose-tinted lens of yesteryear.
It’s also the birthplace of queer Liverpool icon Pete Burns from Dead or Alive, so it’s a natural pilgrimage for celebrity big brother Fans.

Chester
Neighboring Merseyside to the south is the county town of Cheshire and the cathedral city of Chester. Founded by the Romans nearly 2,000 years ago, the walled city is a mix of quaint Tudor architecture and modern boutique living.
The city is also home to nationally renowned Chester Zoowhich is the most visited British attraction outside of London.
Be warned, Chester is a bit further out than the other options on this list. However, the city is a tourist paradise in its own right, and a stay in Chester on your Eurovision 2023 trip will tick two must-see British cities off your bucket list.

New Brighton
Jump on the water and enjoy a seaside stay in New Brighton. Founded in the late 1800s as a seaside resort, this pretty coastal town on the northern end of the Wirral Peninsula was the subject of Gerry & The Pacemakers’ 1964 hit ‘Ferry ‘cross the Mersey’ .
New Brighton has a mix of history and seaside charm. A drive along the coastal road will take you to Fort Perch Rock, a former Grade II listed sea defense fortress that overlooks the Irish Sea. Take a few steps back into town and you’ll get lost in endless entertainment and slot machine arcades.
