He described himself as “a rattan furniture mogul”
Love Island 2021’s Jake Cornish has announced a drastic new job change and said he knows he wants to be known as ‘Jakey The Rattan Man’ after reinventing himself as a ‘furniture mogul self-proclaimed rattan.
Jake, who is best known for leaving Love Island 2021 after his relationship with then-girlfriend Liberty Poole notably took a pear shape and for being an unrestrained admirer and toe-sucker, was a plumber before becoming a reality TV star. And despite some trial and error in the TikTok fashion world that ended up earning him less than favorable comparisons to Benidorm’s Mateo – Jake rebranded his career again.
Jake is now the creative director of “the UK’s largest range of luxury outdoor furniture, sofas and rugs”. In an Instagram post, Jake Cornish said of his new job: “So for months I’ve been working really hard on a business that I’m absolutely overwhelmed to have managed to pull off with hundreds of stocks for Long hard days, stress, a few bumps in the road but at last we are here and ready to outfit your homes for you.
Not everyone is thrilled with the adventure, and last night Amber Gill shaded Jake Cornish’s work with a tweet after Cornish researched his appearance on SAS Who Dares Wins. Jake said “I love this SAS Who Dares Wins with a certain person getting beat up.” Former winner Amber then replied, “I was paid while you were selling garden furniture. Glad you’re tuning in to watch something no one asked you to do.
