Love Island’s Anton Says He’s Lucky To Be Alive After Car Crash

Former Love Island star Anton Danyluk revealed he was “lucky to be alive” after his car crashed into a bus in Dubai. The 27-year-old, who is from Scotland but moved to Dubai to open a fitness business, took to his Instagram Stories this week to give fans an update after the crash.

Sharing a photo of his broken rental car with his million Instagram followers, the reality star said: “Those who drive in Dubai will know the drivers are crazy here and always rush. You have to have your eyes in the back of your mind.”

Speaking of how the accident happened, Anton added: “A bus passed me and it broke down [sic] hard because he passed on a speed bump and then I entered the sorta [sic] side of his back. “

He continued, “I don’t know how I’m doing. Air bags are obviously a good thing.” Although he was naturally shaken by the accident, Anton said he was “absolutely fine” and “felt blessed to be alive”.

News of Anton’s crash comes just days after it was revealed he had been banned from the upcoming E4 season Ex on the beach. The series sees a group of celebrities heading to a luxury villa where, you guessed it, one by one their ex go up (on the beach) to wreak havoc. Anton was scheduled to appear on the show alongside his colleague Love Islander and ex-girlfriend, Belle Hassan. But, after being quarantined in Tenerife for three days before the series, he was reportedly told [via Metro] he would no longer be on the show and sent home.
