Meet the golden retriever who plays Lucky the Pizza Dog in Marvel’s Hawkeye
A Golden Retriever Named Jolt Is Marvel’s Canine Actor Hawk Eye .
The dog is set to star alongside Jeremy Renner, Hailee Steinfeld, Alaqua Cox and Florence Pugh as the one-eyed Lucky the Pizza Dog.
Marvel series director Rhys Thomas described the golden retriever as a “complete professional” and loved working with her on set.
He said
“Jolt is his real name. Just a complete professional. A little easier than some of these people to be honest with you,” he joked. “Actually, I was blessed.”
And the gorgeous four-year-old goldie even his own Instagram account, now has over 38,000 subscribers after the success of the series Disney+ .
The award-winning dog is represented by Animal Casting Atlanta and has several titles to his credit, including The North America Diving Dogs Dock Junior, The American Kennel Club Dock Junior, The American Kennel Club Trick Dog Novice and Trick Dog Intermediate, and the American Kennel Dog Achiever Club.
The acting pup, who lives with dog handler Jacqui Johnson and her stunt double retriever sister, is no stranger to the camera, having also modeled for Amazon products.
As Lucky, the Pizza Dog Jolt was a real scene stealer, but also an important and integral part of the story.
The Honorary Avenger’s name was originally Arrow and was saved by archer Clint when he was abused by Tracksuit Mafia member Ivan Banionis where he lost his left eye.
The comic book dog barely survived as Hawkeye rushed them to a vet – then adopted him, renaming the pup Lucky.
Jolt’s Instagram described the series as “a dream” to work on, after the official trailer offered a quick look at the festive pup.
It’s already garnered quite a loyal fan base, with Marvel fans sharing their excitement with the Golden Online.
